2014 Festivities – Thank you for Coming

Boardwalk2014 LMCCGCM Hut

Many Thanks to the thousands of you that came to enjoy this years festivities.

This year, 2014 it all happened on the first weekend in December -
Saturday, December 6th from 10 AM – 9 PM
Sunday, December 7th from 10 AM – 5 PM.
WE WENT AHEAD RAIN & SHINE.

It’s easy to see why the Lake Mohawk German Christmas Market in Sparta, NJ is ranked as “One of the Top Ten Things to Do in December in the State” –  it’s simply at the top of the “to do” list for festive shoppers. This magical German Christmas Market beckons to all, with beautifully crafted and unique gifts from vendors near and afar. With the perfect backdrop of beautiful Lake Mohawk…why go anywhere else? The authentic wooden huts generously created this year by a local artisan, John Kweselait of Custom Wood Furniture, simply enhanced the enchanting festive atmosphere. In the 13 years since its humble beginning of raising funds for local charities and organizations, it is now truly recognized as New Jersey’s largest Christmas Market, attracting some 18,000 to Lake Mohawk during the weekend.

The German Christmas Market also had a special visit from St. Nicholas, himself, and the charming trackless train at the main entrance to the Lake Mohawk Country Club added to the many memories for the little ones.

Two Park & Ride locations were provided allowing for a stress free visit.

To enjoy this years festivities  many folks used the Park & Ride so they arrived at the Market stress free. (Parking is difficult near the Christmas Market itself as parking space are limited).  Park & Ride is available from 2 locations in Sparta and drops off directly in White Deer Plaza. 2014 was the 13th year of the Market and we continued to see an expansion of vendors, entertainment and authentic German food again this year.   The Lake Mohawk Country Club continues to embrace the market and further real estate is being used further along the boardwalk in addition to the entire Country Club Building being dedicated to vendors to sell their quality wares.  The entertainment venues were once more in both indoor and outdoor locations as visitors were serenaded by various local groups lakeside.
